Subject: Re: M-I: Soros

adding to recent comments about george soros, i'd like to say the the video
distributed throughout middle europe--countries in which the soros foundation
has invested millions in an effort to thwart such corrupt governments as
croatia's by financing hundreds of otherwise underground media efforts to get
State tactics made known to the public--is indicative of the new york based
foundation's "open" approach to the education of literally millions of
politically illiterate citizens as well as to the health/hygene education of
millions. in one year alone, a single program housed within a single
country's Open Society Foundation can reach/educate/change thousands of
people's lives.

yes, soros made his fortune after escaping from a tyranical government, but
his foundation struggles against oppressive "closed" governments--even those
that want to appear globally as "progressive-capalists." the "capital"
circulating in hungary and croatia--to name only two countries--goes directly
back to the corrupt machines running the countries. milosovic's government is
a wonderful example of a 100% tariff system on imported goods preventing the
workers from ever having access to the most rudiment of capitalism's
luxuries--electricity outside major cities, "new" but antiquated washing
machines or refrigerators, quality cold-weather coats or shoes. the excuse
given for such tariffs is the "war expense." yet when the pope visited
croatia in 1994, laborers were forced to work around the clock for two weeks
to finish the renovation efforts on zagreb's streets and parks along the
popemobile's route from the airport to the cathedral. workers were threatened
with layoffs if the pope's route didn't get finished. and cnn media giants
reported mostly on the "fresh beauty" of what a recovering, former communist
country could achieve if they try diligently enough. the soros foundation
financed the translation (into english) and distribution efforts of pamphlets
which divulged the propaganda on a global scale.

the soros foundation labors to make public the financial atrocities that
enable the rich to become more separated and complacent toward the needs of
the majority. yet now, educators often have the opportunity to live in such
countries on grants and teach in the public schools while being careful not to
lose their work visas or end up in police stations due to informative,
revolutionary teaching practices. educators now have the chance to reach
thousands of national teachers and students due to the foundation's near
obsession for "openness" in the still state-run and controlled media, in
education, and in local, national, and global financial decisions.

it's easy to criticize george soros' wealth; not all have the opportunity to
see what that wealth can accomplish when channeled toward true democratic
practices. an informed public can revolt only if their information contains
genuine revolutionary means.
