The problem was, there was no message, just a jumbled mass of verbiage that sounded like it was cooked up by a CIA propaganda mill desperate for a post-Cold War budget continuation. Where was the concrete analysis of what global capital is doing to Peru? Where were the statistics on IMF intervention? What kind of workers and peasants organizations exist, and what kind of trade union/developmental struggles are they waging? You'll find all this in every Zapatista communique; but all Olaechea seems to be interested in is mapping out the future liquidation camps for un-thinkers or anyone who disagrees with Ueberchairman Gonzalo. Sorry, but I already have two horridly repressive, neo-patriarchal religious channels on my cable TV, and I don't need a third. -- Dennis --- from list marxism-international-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
