Subject: M-I: correction re: "Progress" and Modernity


I wrote:
"This, I think, is an important subject in itself. Criticisms of ideology
involve more than unmasking a bunch of lies. In fact, a bigger task is how
certain historical facts or present realities are selectively interpreted
to the advantage of the oppressors."

The latter sentence should have read "...a bigger task is to criticize how
certain historical facts or present realities are selectively interpreted
to the advantage of the oppressors." Otherwise it wouldn't make sense. I am
afraid I have exceeded the post limit, so I will post less than 3 tomorrow.
