Carrol, it does not at all offend me that your argument is spilling over
onto marxism-international, but, aren't you the first one to piss and whine
when someone not to your liking does the same?  Or, are you one of those
who, by your actions, give hypocrisy a bad name.

While I'm at it, I've just written Adolfo Olaechea, soliciting from him a
few appropirate remarks on the one hundredth and fiftieth anniversary of the
*Communist Manifesto*.  Adolfo, as we all know, is not only an able and
dedicated revolutionary, but a brilliant essayist, to boot.  I am anxious to
hear his reply, but only if it is an agreeable one!

In the meantime, I have dusted off EH Carr's excellent essay on that seminal
document, written on the occasion of its centenary in 1948.  How much the
world has changed!  And how little...
