X-Mozilla-Status: 0011 It is interesting (but not surprising !) that every issue is seen by varing contributers in a very different light. Hugh writes: >Which former Leninist parties? If he (incredibly) means ... the ANC (or >even more incredibly the SACP). and then: >[The SACP] was riddled with class collaborationism, it was nationalist >through and through While Justin in reply writes: >I do mean to call the SACP and the PT Leninist, or formerly so. Well just to show there are always more than two sides to any debate I throw my opinion in too. I have always considered the SACP to be thoroughly Menshevik in it outlook and actions. The only South African Leninist I have ever met with have either usually been member of the Pan Africanist Party (PAC) or perhaps on the left of the ANC (though probably not any more). Perhaps a more useful debate would in fact be to discuss what the future is for Communism in South Africa now. But perhaps that would be just an opportunity for more irreconcileable postitions being aired.
