		To whom.....,

Anyone who thinks that the proletariat is going to respond to a
call for planning on a global scale is wrong. Centralized global planning
is not socialism, it is a fantasy. The goal of socialism is to give
*workers* control of the means of production, not to tell people what to
do on an even more massive scale than capitalism already does. The
fantasy, which is entirely bourgeois, of a politically correct
intelligentsia telling the people of the world what to do and running it
from party headquarters has been holding Marxism back for 50 years at
least.

Instead of dealing with important questions about law and
commerce, Marxists wave the magic wand of the "dictatorship of the
proletariat" and "workers councils" and expect problems to go away. Not
only will they not go away, but the proletariat will not rally to Marxism
until we deal with theses issues and develop coherent policies. We will
not get a chance to go back to the days of the Soviet Union and get it
right. It was wrong. Marxism will be hobbled until it throws off the
chains of simple-minded Stalinism.

As for those who believe that they can flog the masses into
revolution with tales of crisis - think again. The goal of Marxism is
socialism, not revolution for its own sake. There is no Winter Palace to
storm and take over anyway. Marxism is no longer up against the Tsar,
comrades. We are up against bourgeois democracy, which spreads power out
among the ruling class, and even allows movement into and out of the
ruling class. We are not up against a system that uses naked power, but a
system that twists democracy and the rule of law. We must have faith that
if democracy and the rule of just law are cleaned up and given to the
proletariat, they will redistribute for themselves. If not, there is no
hope anyway.

	peace
