It clearly places the chronological context of my attack on fake marxist support of bourgeois liberal leaders and organizations to "......in this age" etc. I.e. the modern imperialist age (at least for marxists). We should all study Marx-Engels works, but they are not to be considered understood as religious scriptures , esp. as Marx-Engels were writing-organizing in the 19th cent. For example Nestor, Marx-Engels supported European social democracy as a socialist-revolutionary current in the 1870s-90s. Do you think they would not have altered their position fundamentally on this circa 1914, etc. etc.? Capitalist movements/nations/economies develpment had changed qualiatively the tactics/strategies of the workers struggles by the early 20th cent, and the present "globalizations' of capital mean workers movements/groups need again to seriously re-think many old outmoded methods. So we really need to see Marxist science in a scientific, a materialist/dialectic way. Neil --- from list marxism-international-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
