This seems to invoke the theory that there was no exploitation in feudal or
tributary socieites -- merely the production of "use values." There indeed
was production of surplus product, labor, and cash -- these were class
societies! -- and I don't mind an expanded definition of "value" to
incorporate the exploitation of people in precapitalist times.
