From: "Rosser Jr, John Barkley" <rosserjb-AT-jmu.edu> Subject: M-I: capital Date: Fri, 10 Apr 1998 01:06:14 -0400 (Eastern Daylight Time) A little while ago I provided a list of possible things that "capital" is, including "social relation." Orthodox sectarians on this list, like dear old Carrol Cox, think that is ALL it is. Sorry, kids, the answer to my question is "all of the above and more." One of those more includes "the biosphere." BTW, I fully agree that Marx declared the "social relation" aspect to be the most important, and indeed one can find quotes where he essentially (oops, non-Marxist category) declared "that's what it is." But he knew better and elsewhere recognized its more multidimensional status. Barkley Rosser, officially declared "non-Marxist" -- Rosser Jr, John Barkley rosserjb-AT-jmu.edu --- from list marxism-international-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
