The Anarchist Black Cross Federation is sponsoring a Political Prisoners
and Prisoners of War (PP/POW) art raffle to support the Warchest
Program.

First Prize is a one of a kind custom framed original art piece by
Puerto Rican POW Oscar Lopez Rivera. View a picture of the piece at our
website: http://burn.ucsd.edu/~abcf/

Second and Third Prizes are two original poems signed and framed by
Black Liberation Army PP Jihad Abdul Mumit.

Tickets are $5 each, lots of ten are being sold for $40. Sending cash is
ok, but checks and money orders must be made out to Neil Batelli, and
make sure to earmark it "raffle". We are looking for RESPONSIBLE people
to help us sell tickets in your area. If you would like to do so we will
send you a full color poster we have developed to help sell the tickets,
as many tickets you think you can sell, and specific instructions on how
to sell the tickets. If you'd like to buy or sell tickets, send your
name, address, and a phone or e-mail info to:

Initiated in 1994, the Warchest has provided reliable, non-partrisan
financial support to PP/POW's in the United States. Serving two
functions, the Warchest has been able to consistently provide monthly
checks to those PP/POW's who, to our knowledge, receive the least
financial support, and emergency one time support to those PP/POW's who
may not need regular support, but are in need of one time financial
assistance for a specific need.

As an example or regular support, New Afrikan POW Sekou Odinga was
receiving no regular financial support when the Warchest was founded in
1994. Since then, Sekou has received $60 each and every month. This
coming Novemeber will mark the 4th consecutive year he has recieved
support from the Warchest. As Sekou himself said when he first started
to receive Warchest Funds "Thanks much for the support you've been
organizing. After not having any or very little for so long, it now
seems like people realize that I am alive."

As an example of emergency support, Puerto Rican POW Carmen Valentin and
her family was struggling to pay the tuition for her grand daughters
school tuition. the warchest was able to help pay part of that bill.
There are many such examples of similar emergency support the Warchest
has been able to supply.

-Black Liberation Army POW Sekou Odinga
-Black Liberation Army PP Herman Bell
-Black Liberation Army PP Jalil Muntaqim

"Any political movement that fails to support it's political internees
is a sham movement!"
-Ojore Lutalo

"Here we remain, yesterday's guirrilas, abandoned in captivity"
-Ojore Lutalo
