I am appending an "example letter" sent out on the internet by supporters
of Mumia. Sometimes form letters are more effective than "merely
individual" expressions because they carry the implicit warning that
people "out there" are communicating with others: even a whiff of
organization can (as Count Mirabeau recognized two centuries ago) cause
panic among authorities.
