From: Shaggy-AT-pseud.pseud Date: Thu, 5 Jun 1997 13:08:35 +0000 Subject: M-INTRO: Zeke makes a new friend Hi Velma, Sorry if my writings do not fit up to your oh so Victorian cold and dry standard of table manners and rules of intellectual engagement.Naturally I apologize if I made you spill your morning coffee on the computer and all that. But being raised in the ghetto does take its toll! However I must blame the language on my marine training at Cherry Point. You know "Gung Ho" Kill the motherfucking commie bastards" "Wipe out the fucking slant-eyed motherfuckers" and all that. Then of course the language of poor and working class people is just fine! Or perhaps even earlier on the docks in Hoboken when the cops and scabs were constantly trying to break the picket line. The language their would have certainly made your Victorian bones just shiverrrrrrrrrr... But you are barking up the wrong tree with your anti-communist humanistic hogwash.. By the way the secret language is fairly normal poor and working class standard. However we do have Ebonics which I think should be defended at all costs which probably makes you have nightmares! By the way you can take your Victorian table manners and stick it up your "rectum ricoris". As if we slaves are surpose to accept the bougeois norms of table manners. Sure and pigs fly! Hidy-ho and pip-pip, Zeke! You refer here to my nightmares. Actually, Zeke you are a dream come true. The job of pointing out some of the irrationality that drives socialist ideas could not be easier for me than with my new friend and helper, Zeke. I'll try not to bore you too terribly much, but the apparent line between class standard and the ability to execute adequate command of the English language is just dumb. I know you see yourself as a warrior for the working class, when in reality you only insult it. I'll match my struggling, middle class family background to anyone's. Don't tell people that because they have less in the way of material items that they should not be expected to nor can preform any task, writing or otherwise as well as anyone in an upper class. The noteable improvement in your own writing since I pointed the faults out speaks to the good that can come of knowing a high standard is being/should be applied. Thanks ever-so-much for your help, Velma P.S. Thanks for the tip about the oil in the girdle. --- from list marxism-intro-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
