Exploitation is a very interessting topic. When we
thinks of exploitation we usually think of all the third
world countries where exploitation is easily
identifiable. One thing that we don't usually realize
is that exploitation happens in many other places too.
One example that really shocked me was the fact that
Michael Jordan was an exploited worker. You may say how
can Michael Jordan be considered explited when he is
making $35+ million a year. The reason he is exploited
is because of the total revenue he as a player brought
in. He was really worth $80+ million a year when you
add up all of the ticket sales, guest appearances, and
MIchael Jordan athletic gear. He brought in a lot more
revenue then he was actual payed. Therefore he as an
athlete was also exploited. Exploitation is definately
a topic worth looking into. Especially if you feel that
you are being exploited. Run the numbers and find out
the facts. Then you'll know.
