Regarding the specific matter of Michael Jordan, I definitely see both sides
of the issue. First of all, as a commodity, sports are not some of the more
useful ones. Also, the fact that someone can make $35 million a year to
play games all the time while teachers and other trained workers get measly
salaries is really sad. However, the fact is that Jordan is awesome at what
he does. His natural talent and ability single him out in the market-what
he can do is not something anyone can learn. Therefore, has something to
offer which no one else has. This presents a problem for me; where does
natural ability come into play when Marx discusses labor? It seems obvious
that people will differ in their ability to do certain things even with the
aid of training. Is there a place for talent in a Marxist society?
