I think now one can doubt the impact that his ideas have made on the
world.  In my opinion it has started to ball rolling for change in social
consciousness.  This can be seen by merely the effect that his ideas have
had on such disciplines, as sociology, economics, political science,
philosophy, history, as well as how these notions have been seen in the
formation of governments and international relations.

I think you cannot rank him as he is so controversial a person, the
capitalist demonize him, while the left laud him as hero.  I think though
that you cannot trivialize his work, you can try, but all that do is
reveal a persons ignorance.  I believe Marx was well ahead of his time,
and his theory reflect thinking that has not yet been accepted by the
social mainstream.
