People tend to think that the fall of the Soviet Union is due to communism.
That is an incorrect assumption.  Of course there are many reasons why
communism failed in the Soviet Union, and why it would fail again.
Capitalism also fails.

I submit to you that the idea of communism will never work in this world.
The simple reason for this is greed.  As people begin to evolve a government
based on these ideals, they may begin with Marx's words as a bible, but they
will stray and begin to exploit the people.  As long as imperfect beings are
in power, some will take the opportunity to exploit the weaker.

Now this is not to say that exploitation and greed do not occur in
capitalism, we all know and have learned that it does.  Capitalism in fact
seems to encourage this sort of thing.  However, at least in the US, I
believe that I have the power to choose my position.
