I completely agree with everything said by steelwool. He brought up a good
point. Capitalism isn't the best but it is all we have right now. Everyone
complains that we don't have the means of production but steelwool clearly
points out that America is the only place to get it. I have seen many times
where immigrants from Asia and Latin America have come here with nothing.
They were exploited to the fullest. But with some desire, risk and
financial assistance, they are now prosperous. Too many people born in this
country want to sit around and complain and get handouts when access to the
means of production are available to them. They can't get an education you
say? Well how do these immigrants do it then. They come here with no human
capital but with the multiple financial assistance programs in this country,
anyone can go to college. I come from a lower income family and didn't have
the funds to go to college after highschool. So, I joined the Army for the
G.I bill money. Now, I have a B.S. and will soon work on the grad degree.
I have pulled myself up and out of the dumps. If folks would use the energy
they consume fighting the system and work with it, they would succeed. I
agree Capitalism has its faults but let's fix the problems, quite looking at
the past and move forward.
