Imperialism is, of course, not the only issue and can
be conducted in more than one way (coercive talks vs.
murderous tanks for instance).  While it is indeed
bound up with the pathologies of the US state the
Democrats in general, if not Kerry in particular, show
a least a glimmer of hope for sanity on this as well
as other issues.  Republican dissenters are as of yet
extremely marginal/or marginalized.

a $64,000 question of left groups.  Leninists say yes,
autonomists say no.  More confusing are the 1 billion
in between positions.  The rhetoric of "true Marxist"
hasn't served well in the past.  It has abetted party
splitting and purges in the past.
