Subject: Re: M-INTRO: Electoral Votes

We live in a nation-state that is democratic politically and a dictatorship
socially. The bourgeoisie controls the outcome of all elections in that the
two dominant parties (Democrats and Republicans) are both controlled by the
same economic class: the capitalists. "Nader-trading" or "vote-swapping" or
whatever one wants to call it is simply a result of living in the least politically
democratic state in the developed world. People know that their vote does not
count, and respond accordingly. Most people's response, of course, is to not
vote. An informal election boycott by the majority of voters has been
occurring for the last 40 years, and will continue unless people can actually vote
their economic interests at the polls.
