While I appreciate the energy that can be generated by discussing the "what ifs" of
terrorism under Gore or the justification of the war, I am thinking that Marx would have a
little more to say about some of the more mundane yet very important issues that we also
face today. I am wondering what the United States' current debt is doing to the value of
the dollar in the world? The value of our currency has a significant impact on our
ability to trade and conduct business on the world scale. No one seems too concerned with
a debt, now over a trillions dollars. How do current interest rates, the circulation of
money in the form of the prime lending rate and tax breaks, impact our economy and the
place of labor? Given that I believe economics is underlying most of the issues behind
what is really going on in Iraq I would appreciate a discussion of what people think of
these domestic issues and how we might be able to dig our way out of the financial hole we
are in.

I agree with Scouter and KahaO on this subject. There had to be a firm
statement sent out amoung the other nations that we won't put up with the
terror attacks and President Bush did just that. He really brought the People
of America together and it was handled perfectly. I think it's easy to say
things that should of happened or someone could of done a better job but i
don't think so. I for sure wouldn't have wanted Kerry to have been in that
spot because one day he might have been going in a direction and telling the
nation and then the next he would have flopped his statement and who knows
where he would have taken us. He says Bush handled the Iraq situation wrong,
but what else could you of wanted. Saddam is out of power and it showed the
world that you don't mess with the U.S. I am happy that we take the strong and
firm point in this action because i don't want the U.S to be a place where the
other countries think they can attack us. This is suppose to be a safe country
are we going to stand up for that or are we going to let people invade and kill
our citizens? I will support the strong and firm point because i think it has
worked. We haven't had any attacks on our country since like Scouter stated.
Well done President Bush!
