Subject: Re: M-INTRO: 8 hour work day?

Response of SKITRAMPS submssion.

I think that is really depends of the job and person that determines the number
of hours worked. If worker Joe has a House, Truck, BMW, motorcyle, and a boat
he has to put in his hours and work a majority of his day to pay for all his
luxuries. Seems worker Joe has to work to pay for the things which he likes to
do on his spare time. Like your example you gave, if the man did only work
half his hours and made only $100K would he be able to pay for all his luxuries
and things he loved to do, collect, buy, etc? Probably not. People go into a
profession because they want to make money. You think people really become
doctors to stand all day, be on call 24/7, and to help people. Probably only
10% are like that. The rest do it because of the money and in exchange is
hours they have to work. As for me I choose to be with my family, but still
make the same amount a person working a 40-60 hr week would and I only put in
20-25 hrs a week, 4 hours a day. For some money makes them happy others not.
