I agree with everyones opinions and everyone makes very good points. I
personally feel the fans DESERVED it! What gives the fan a right to do
whatever they please. Seems these days fans are taking things WAY OUT OF HAND!
Back in the old days, there was roped off sections protecting the players
from the fans, it was called a cage match. Now the fans are on the court
practically in the game. Artest tried to cool down by laying down and out of
no where a disrespectful fan had to throw cup of beer at him, that to me is
like getting spat on. I would rather be punched by someone than a cup of beer
thrown on my face. I think It is more disrespectful and embarassing then being
punched. Yes, Artest is a walking timebomb waiting to explode any second, but
there has been worse intentional fouls than that! Ben Wallace is a baby, he's
the one that should have had a longer punishment because he was the cause of
the WHOLE thing! Something does have to be done though because look what
happened 14 hrs later.......Clemson, S. Caroline game, it was even WORSE than
the pacers game, even though it didn't involve fans. What's going to happen in
the future? Players and fans bringing their own bodyguards to games???
