Copenhagen, I wholeheartedly agree with your comments. Although, I didn’t read the article in S.I., I routinely listen to sports talk radio and heard different discussions on the topic. None of them were positive towards what Latrell had to say. If I were in Latrell’s shoes, I would be mad that the proposed new offer was what I thought to be, below market value. That I can understand. (But definitely not sympathize). 
But, as someone who makes fractions of his millions I don’t ever want to hear a pro athlete say that they cannot feed their family on their “menial” income. I laughed when I heard his statement and couldn’t stop. Anyway, just wanted to chime in and say you’re not alone in your disgust for these pro athletes. I’ll leave with the famous (actually absurd) quote from Patrick Ewing “NBA players need to make more money, because we spend more money.”
