Subject: Re: M-INTRO: Do any of us realize how bad poverty is in the US?


The Bushites don't believe they have an obligation to
stop this.  They think some abstract market will
provide fair distribution.  Take their beliefs, their
vision of human life, seriousely.  We'll never win by
assuming they are stupid (many poor people voted for
Bush).  What is it about the successful individual
theme, in the face of all evidence, that makes so many
belive?
