Durham have called on all trade unionists to attend a NATIONAL SOLIDARITY CONFERENCE to be held at: EAST END CIU CLUB, DARLINGTON,CO.DURHAM on: SATURDAY, 1 MARCH 1997 commencing at 11 am. (the venue is near the railway station on the corner of Yarm Road and Neasham Road. There is a large parking area at the rear of the railway station on Park Lane at the top of Victoria Road, walk through Station Subway and over footbridge and the club is opposite the Church) The Magnet Strike Committee has called the conference in aid of ALL the present disputes including themselves, the Liverpool Dockers, Project Aerospace, Coventry and the Hillingdon Hospital Workers. The declared purpose of the conference is to promote the formation of local support groups to provide solidarity action for all those taking industrial action now and in the future. It is intended to provide a simple buffet meal with tea/coffee or fruit juice. Other drinks may be obtained from the bar.
