Hi Ilan,

I do not know if other subscribers take the info notes so seriously
about handling exchanges with some psychological insight that no one
wants to get into an argument.

I was also wondering whether your statement

>> You CAN teach old dog new tricks BUT it takes allot of effort.<<

was an apology or a challenge.

Having visited your website (with some difficulty because one document
was 97K and I am not reliably configured for the web) I conclude the latter.

Besides old dogs can offer tricks which young dogs may wish to adapt even if
they do not take them up exactly as performed.

So what is sensate focussing?

Why is it marxist to have
"freedom from professional authorities".

Why is it marxist to avoid psychoanalysis and its search for causes?

It seems to me there are a variety of thepeutic methods, each of which work
with a proportion of people, probably those who accept the rationale.
You methods seem to come from the self help, radical individualism
frame of reference.

One could say, the radical solution to the problems of atomised bourgeois civil
society in the form of more power to the atomised individual.

A) how much do you claim this works for the individual?

B) how much would you claim it works for society.

and thanks for you contribution. This is quite an international list.

Subject: M-PSY: Newbee to the list

Dear list fellows.

As asked by the admition mail I'll write few lines on my 59
years.

I have a record of 45 years of political activity in Israel -
most of them thought my self as Marxist.

All the years was interested in psychology but got a formal
university studies only since 1972.

The curious ones are invited to brows my texts at my home pages
and/or ask by e-mail.

Still working few hours a week so I have plenty of time to the
ones who seek information or opinions.

Looking forward for new mail

You CAN teach old dog new tricks BUT it takes allot of effort.
So pay attention to the pleasant and unpleasant
                 bodily sensations... and the troubles
                     will take care of themselves.

                                      Old Dog
