IN DEATH OF CORNELIUS CASTORIADIS
Has died in Paris on 26/12/1997 evening the Philosopher and Psychoanalist
Cornelius Castoriadis  at the age of 75 years. Born in Athens in 1922 , he
went to France in 1945, after his partecipation to the Greek Resistance.
>From 1949 to  1967 he was one of the most active editor of the marxist
review "Socialisme ou Barbarie".  Author of several essays including  "
L'institution imaginaire de la société ".  Remarkable also the book "Le
carrefours du labyrinthe" where a clear and solid criticism of
psychoanalysis  is developed.  Castoriadis has been director of Ecole des
hautes etudes en sciences sociales of Paris.

CHIAPAS MASSACRE
I also invite the members of this list to protest against the  Mexican
government
( sre-AT-phoenix.net ;  webadmon-AT-op.presidencia.gob.mx ) for the massacre of
Chenalho (Chiapas).

Spanish: Ante la masacre de Chenalho, quieremos denunciar al Gobierno
Mexicano,
por su pol=EDtica terrorista y genocida con los pueblos indigenas,
responsable del asesinato de 45 personas en los ultimos d=EDas en el
Estado de Chiapas.

English: The cowardly crime of Chenalho was  perpetrated by paramilitary
groups in Chiapas
and  the Chiapas state police and Mexican Army grant them impunity. Then we
denounce the Mexican government as responsible for the massacre of 45
women, children and men.
