Date: Thu, 31 Oct 96 03:06:19 UT From: "Ang " <uls-AT-msn.com> Subject: M-TH: Spoons' marxism space website Hey Jon, What's going on? I send unanswered e-mails to Spoons requesting that until you are able to completely update the website describing the new marxism space, a simple phrase be added indicating an expected completion date so any potential new subscribers surfing the net might know when to come back and check it out, and instead, it's recently been changed from "The marxism list is closing down" to this: "The marxism list is now closed [centered & in enlarged and bolded typeface] This list is now closed, replaced by a proliferation of new lists, under the general rubric of the spoon marxism space. However, you will be able to access all the resources, papers and so on that were available for and from the marxism list. We appreciate your cooperation during this time of transition. Thanks and take care Jon for the spoon collective" I want to be cooperative Jon :-), but it seems such a shame to have this space that Spoons has provided inaccessible to any possible newcomers. The change you made seems to me to have the exact opposite effect of what I hoped for. Isn't it possible to just add a short phrase indicating when the surfers should look back to see the information about the proliferation of new lists? I have no idea of the complexity involved in changing website or archives - if I did, I'd certainly volunteer to help. A single sentence including a date, however, seems like a reasonable request. Let me know if I'm wrong.
