Subject: M-TH: The Long Booom

Thaxians may be interested in this URL + discussion at Wired Mag's site:

the gist of which is:
Two major forces - fundamental
technological change and a new ethos
of openness - are driving through
our era, forces that could bring
about the long boom, a 25-year
                           global expansion with all its
                           consequences. These two
                           metadevelopments lead to increasing
                           integration and prosperity
                           worldwide, which lays the
groundwork for a more open global
                           society and a civilization of
civilizations in the 21st century. At
least, that's the gist of the long boom
                           argument.

Fat chance!

Best Wishes,

Russell Pearson.
