G'day all,

Good practical questions, Rakesh.

I'm particularly interested in this one:

>Is full time work a socialist demand?

I think it is. Given first world norms, the typical household requires a
minimum of one full-time wage to subsist. Two part-time jobs generally
afford neither the security (eg. leave entitlements and, if bosses still
offer such things in the US, healthcare 'plans') nor the quantity of
dollars that one full-time wage does. We should shout from the rooftops
what 'flexibility' actually means in this respect.

That said, the following question

>Should socialists fight against such big pay per hour differences between
>part-time and full-time employees?

becomes problematic, I s'pose.

Just wondering,
Rob.
