Subject: M-TH: Re: Campaign for Internet Freedom

The Campaign for Internet Freedom claims to "oppose all forms of
censorship". This is a straightforward lie. CIF, like similar
organisations, only opposes censorships by the state, or on behalf of the
state. CIF does NOT oppose, for instance, racial exclusion in control and
content, at virtual city projects, or at commercial ISP's. It does NOT
oppose censorship, exclusion and restriction of texts by organisations
with resepct to their members, or their freely chosen associates. In
other words, the CIF position is primarily liberal, in the US usage
Libertarian. In practice the "organisations" in modern economies are
commercial, but it is not simply a question of money.

It is absolutely hypocritical for an organisation which supports
deliberate exclusion of material, texts, and links on political grounds
to claim it is is a victim of political censorship.
