G'day Russ and Kevin,

Lefebvre has always been 'a footnote to check on later' for me (no value
judgement there, just candid ignorance). It's up to you to start the ball
rolling if you want to, Russ - I promise to do some homework and try to
proffer a useful response.

And Kevin, how do I find that Beasley-Murray essay? And on that tempting
netchat idea, I have a *very* old and temperamental Mac llvx, no technical
knowledge, and a faculty IT budget of exactly zero to contend with. I'm
just not up to it right now, I'm afraid. I'd love to know if and how the
idea catches on, though.

Oh, and I might as well report that the Habermas list is about as
interested in Marx as you lot are in Habermas. My little cross-pollenation
aspiration shall have to be pursued in shamed solitude, I'm afraid. I
shall start with Rakesh's reading list and inform this list of the secret
of world change as soon as I discover it.

All the best,
Rob.
