I didn't post this on M-thaxis, because Dave et al weren't suspended
from M-thaxis and I can understand that subscribers to this list might
be a bit frustrated by the disjointed debate. 

However, I'm very happy to defend Dave especially on MI because when I
worked for London's Haringey municipal authority, and we were being laid
off in droves, Dave supported our actions, while visiting London from
his native New Zealand - true internationalism.
