Who is afraid of Katie Roiphe ? I'm not. Whether I'd have sex with her
would depend on whether we liked each other though.

As regards pornography, the guy who says he doesn't like porn is a bit like
the guy who says he doesn't like books or says all prostitution is bad - a
highly suspect utterance other than from an illiterate or inexperienced
person. It's a question of mood, quality, phase of life and what turns you
on, and porn can be very educational in that respect.

I toured a girlfriend around Asia Carrera's website (www.asiacarrera.com)
the other day by way of experiment, on her own request, and she said she
enjoyed the experience, found it interesting. The main flaw with porn, as
I pointed out to my friend, is that it is rather passive entertainment.

As regards rape, I believe it is morally wrong and I couldn't do it
personally. I confess I have met some stuck-up bitches in my life who
flaunted themselves grotesquely and hurt men's feelings a lot, and I
remember feeling that they deserved to get raped. Even so I didn't
recommend or proceed with that policy, given my ethical belief.

Moral panics about rape are something different again, they're usually a
rather pathetic expression of middle class angst. Usually the people
whipping up the moral hysteria have very little idea of what the real
situation actually was.

Gotta get out of here, I'm going blind.

Cheers

Jurriaan.
