From: "jurriaan bendien" <Jbendien-AT-globalxs.nl> Subject: Re: M-TH: Mandel's critique of Mattick Date: Thu, 15 Jan 1998 13:41:01 +0100 Dave Bedggood, the hippy from Titirangi, has decided to substitute Stalinist-type name-calling for serious argument, identifying me with positions which I do not hold at all, and falsifying the arguments of Mandel and Marx as well. This is laughable and pathetic. Dave talks about "regroupment". Well I guess the only people he will attract for any length of time with his abominable sectarian behaviour are bits of "flotsam and jetsam" (to use his own phrase) who are so gullible as to fall for his petty dogmas and sacred scrolls. Any Marxist capable of independent critical thought won't be fooled by Bedggood's ilk. As far as I am concerned, it's people like Bedggood who give Trotsky, Trotskyism and the Left a bad name.
