This "famine and plague" assertion is not >based on a history of Indian societies, just 3rd hand rumors from the LM >propaganda mill. There were 8 million Indians in Hispanolia at the time of >Columbus's arrival, a remarkable number. They became ill from the invaders >or died from their bayonets. None are left. Was this an act of "nature"? In my sottish ignorance (and I hope you didn't mean to call me an ingorant scot, that would have been unforgiveable), I merely wondered whether you thought that the pre-European Americas were free of plague and famine, or whether these were remedied by the American Indian's mythologies. >>Now I'm all for the rights of indigenous peoples... >No, you LM creep, you are for their extermination. That's why LM crusades >against Survival International and any other group fighting genocide, you >right-wing scum. Now for the record, and before Louis gets too carried away with his projective fantasies, I am not for the extermination of indigenous peoples. As to LM, I was not aware that they were running a crusade against Survival International. I expect however, that an article was published by them once which Louis then misunderstood. Get a grip old boy, you're losing it rapidly. Russ --- from list marxism-thaxis-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
