I've always thought you a positive element on the lists. And in fact I did not have you in mind when I wrote that post. But still, now that you raise the issue, I do tend to identify opposition to abortion with misogyny. And as Yoshi and I have made abundantly clear, we do not accept mere "pro-choice" positions as satisfactory. When all the philosophical and technical arguments are in, the fact remains that unless women can be freed from unwanted pregnancies (for any reason) sexual equality remains a myth. And present methods of birth control are lacking even for the "sophisticated" with solid economic resources, let alone for the vast bulk of the world's women. I know nothing about anyone's inner soul: insistence on making women "responsible" for their reproductive choices is (and here Leo will find a peg to hang his charge of Stalinism on) objectively misogynistic. Nor will I accept any horseshit about making men responsible until the complete achievement of that (whatever it might mean) is at least a century or two in the past.
