This list just gets better and better...I now have Bob arguing with me telling
me I am wanting all feminist activities to be within the liberalist system AND
I have another Marxist wanting to know why I would want all feminists to move
outside of the system (as if they ever would) and not fight the legal battles.
For starters, I...personally...I...do not support the courts in the sense that
I do not think that (like MacKinnon) porn should be regulated by the courts
based on "illocutionary speech acts", nor do I think that any good can come of
the continuous struggles that NOW & liberalist feminists involve themselves in
on a cyclical basis. But guess what?? Those are Liberalist Feminists doing
liberalist things. There are marxist feminists doing marxist things..etc
etc...and just like I was telling Bob, top-down organizations may work for
some people in some instances...just like marxist theory make work in some
instances, but grass-roots initiatives should not be viewed as "deviant" or
"devisive" but rather as other forms of organizing. My beef with the liberal
feminists is that I could see monies...and they use a lot of money...in
building up grass-roots initiatives & programs that strengthen women's hold on
the abortion & reproductive issues.

<<The role of courts and the state, etc. in general political power, is a
different issue after a revolution than before. But I am curious. Just how
do you think we will resolve disputes and make and implement common actions
without some specialized bodies (e.g., courts, bureaucracies,
legislatures, agencies) to perform these functions? Do you think there
won't be any differences, or just taht we'll all have a meeying and all
agree on what to do and how to do it without any functional articulation?>>

I could ask you the same question as to how society will fxn under Communism.
You think everyone will be equal? etc etc...
The suggestion on both sides is usually that property rights, capitalism, drug
wars, divide and conquer tactics of all kinds lead to crime & such. Marxists
and Anarchists are both assuming that people are basically rational human
beings who care about one another and are capable of achieving peaceful
societies under the basis of discussion, a more equal distribution of goods,
etc. Am I wrong in assuming this?
