Doug, you can only say this if you've never studied Mao. Women are the other
half of the sky, remember? And the position is not that capitalist wage
slavery has positive aspects in relation to precapitalism (which is more
arguable than you suppose, evidently, since you simply don't question the
idea that capitalism is an advance on what went before, but there are,
putting it mildly, relevant questions, as Lou and I have been suggesting).
No, the position is that you are defending capitalist wage slavery as an
alternative to socialism, not for any principled reasons but because you
don't actually believe in socialism, its reality, inevitablity or necessity.
It's your defeatism that's the issue.
