Actually the left hooked into one side of this conflict from the very
beginning including Hugh and his organization. The Bosnian Muslim side. It
reflects the fact that they have no understandiong of the national question
and especially the question of inter penetrating peoples..

Now Hugh is playing the left tail to Albanian nationalists. And is using
nationalist arguements against the Serbs to back up this stuff.. And doing
it with some pretty horrible jingoism!

He completely covers up that all sides in the Yugoslavian conflict are
prepared to commit all kinds of attrocities if just they had the military
capability..

and then on the list stuff..Yoshie writes and Hugh reoplies..

Hugh certainly is right here. But Yoshie has quite bluntly taken the correct
position on this stuff and Hugh is dead wrong! Many of our heros here are
fighting,
discussing mostly "arty farty" stuff. When it has become serious stuff like
the moral and abortion question the paint on the wall of this place and all
of the pretentions of people began falling of the wall like old paint..

And the heartbreaking rendering of the charming Malgosia is a good example
of old paint when she lets her skirt down and in rage tells Hugh to
basically go "fuck" himself.. Notice when our charming intellectuals start
screaming "cunt" and "fuck you" there is a "discussion" about it.  A prolo
walks
in and in a political context utter the same words and he is destroying the
list!

Yes the discreet charm of the petty bourgeoisie is a real open sore in this
space!
