That's part of what I meant by Marx being painlyfully conventional, schtupping the help is very traditional. He strongly disapproved of Engels' "common law" marriage, which led toi the only serious strain between them when Engels' partner died and Marx was chilly in his condolences. Marx's daughters appear to have suppressed some of the letters from this period. Engels, like Mill, was very modern about sex.
