Subject: Re: Post-Marxism and Paleo-Marxism

I think this is a historic first: I agree with everything Justin has said
down to the bone. I was thinking of responding to Leo's unspeakable
banality, but now Justin has saved me the trouble. Discourse analysis, my
anal pore! Have you read Bryan Palmer's DESCENT INTO DISCOURSE? Only one
thing to add: without generalizing your favorite social movement to the
class struggle, not a one of them can succeed: they are all up against an
historical brick wall. All you will have is Clintonism, the last stage of
dying liberalism, ultimately consisting of: (1) diversity management and
inclusion for some bourgeois opportunists of all demographic groups, e.g.
reactionary whores like Janet Reno or Ron Brown in high positions, and (2)
slave labor in the prison-industrial complex accompanied by illiterate
yammering in Ebonics for the rest. Your very perspective confesses you have
no future, but enjoy banging your head against the wall while you can.
Why?--don't aks me. Glad to know you are out in the world and active in the
labor movement, though, Leo. Here's an argument for the disaggregation of
theory and practice if ever there was one.
