At the present time I am doing research at King's College, Aberdeen on Karl Marx's very own theory of mind. My original headquarters are in Colombia, where I come from. There i am involved with the nwe student movement that has been operating since 1989. In 1991, the student movement, together with some trade unions and NGO's succesfully pushed a radical constitutional reform that at the present moment is under attack by Colombia's ruling class. In respect to your question about ideology I would not like to rush and advance some arguments now. However, i promise I will shortly contribute with a small piece based on John Torrance's 'Karl Marx's Theory of Ideas', a recent engagement with the question of ideology which, in my humble opinion, is the most thorough examination of the question to date, if just because it takes the Marxian corpus beyond mainstream interpretations. Greetings to all the members of the list. I'm looking forward to begin our exchanges, Sincerely yours, ---------------------- Oscar Guardiola o.g.rivera-AT-abdn.ac.uk
