                          TERMS OF ACCESS

1. MINIMUM MEMBERSHIP PERIOD: 1 Year

2. NO-RISK 2-WEEK TRIAL: All new subscribers may try our services for 
two weeks. If you aren't satisfied for any reason, you can cancel your 
subscription during the first two weeks for a full refund. Thereafter, 
subscription fees are non-refundable. 

3. PAYMENT: You agree to pay all charges promptly when billed. Failure to
renew your subscription before the expiration date will result in
automatic suspension of your account. Accounts in arrears for more than 30
days will be terminated. There are no exceptions. Bank charges for
returned checks or refused credit card numbers will be charged to your
account.  All funds in US currency only. (If you live outside the US, send
an International Money Order in US Dollars.)

4. RESPONSIBILITY FOR ONLINE ACTIVITY: You are solely responsible for any
consequences arising from your use of this account, including but not
limited to anything you post publicly. You also agree to comply with the
rules, regulations, and guidelines of any other systems, newsgroups, or
mailing lists you participate in from your account on this system. Please
do not place advertising in areas of the Internet where it is not welcome. 
All subscriptions offered are subject to the terms and conditions
stipulated by our bandwidth suppliers, Optimized Computer Solutions and
UUNet Technologies. Text-menu (shell) account subscribers agree to abide
by our "reasonable storage limit" of 4 Megabytes average. 

 Commercial activity is not permitted on NY Transfer non-profit websites.
 Commercial websites are also available from Blythe Systems. Inquire.
 Absolutely no spamming, mass-emailing, anonymous advertising,
  address-spoofing, e-mail forgery, or any other harrassing or obnoxious
  online behavior will be tolerated. Abusers will forfeit their accounts.

5. ONE LOGIN I.D. PER HUMAN: This account is for your use and your use
alone. You agree you will not share your password or your access with any
other person. This account is non-transferrable in the same way that a
driver's license is non-transferrable. You may not lend, give, or sell
your access to anyone else. This condition is for your security and ours,
and will help ensure the smooth running of the system for your use. 

We need to know that all our subscribers are informed of changes,
important updates, and other notices.  If you share your account with
another person, you may miss important system announcements. 

If we discover more than one individual using an account, we will cancel
the account immediately, without warning, and with NO refund. You are
responsible for the security of your account, your user id, and your
password. Sharing your account information to allow unauthorized access to
friends, relatives, or anyone else is a serious security violation that
endangers all users. 

Groups and non-profit organizations may purchase a Group Account with
multiple individual login IDs included. The purchasing individual is
held responsible for all activity of all login IDs in a group account.
Security violations by one ID in a group account will result in termination
of the entire group account and all login IDs.

6. PERSONAL CONTACT INFORMATION MUST BE SUPPLIED: We keep all user
information completely confidential from all inquiries, including those
from government agencies, but we must be able to contact you if necessary.
We therefore require that you supply your real name, address and current
phone number, and keep this information updated. Group accounts are
required to provide contact information for the purchasing individual who
buys the account and accepts responsibility for all its IDs. We do not
reveal this information to anyone for any reason except to the agency that
processes credit card subscriptions. We do not sell, rent, or exchange our
mailing list. We do not send junk mail. But we must be able to contact you
if needed. If we are unable to contact you, we will suspend your account
until we hear from you with accurate current contact information. 

7. ALL SUBSCRIPTIONS LIMITED TO INDIVIDUALS OVER 21 YEARS OF AGE: We
regret the necessity of this restriction, but because of the prevailing
hysteria over "decency" on the Internet, we cannot offer online access to
anyone under 21 years of age. 

8. REDISTRIBUTION of entire NY Transfer newsfeeds in electronic form is
prohibited. Quotation and reproduction of the information is encouraged,
provided that credit is given to the NY Transfer News Collective and the
original news source. Certain articles may be redistributed with prior
permission only; please ask first! 

9. NY TRANSFER NEWSFEED AND USENET NEWSGROUP CONTENT: We reserve the right
to add or change NY Transfer newsfeeds with one month's notice to members.
We cannot guarantee the volume of news in each newsfeed, which varies with
national and international events. We provide a full feed of Usenet
newsgroups as supplied by UUNet Technologies; we have no control over
Usenet newsgroup availability, traffic levels or content.

10. HOW TO SUBSCRIBE: Fill out our order form COMPLETELY, sign it, and mail
it to the address indicated on the form.  VISA/Mastercard are accepted.
Your account will be created within 5 business days after we receive
payment and your signed copy of our subscription order form.
