I think this should be up to the individual lists. Maybe some of the lists will decide that they do not want any speculations at all whether someone is a cop, and others are willing to discuss this issue. > 2) no death threats or threats of physical violence. Yes I agree with this as a groundrule. > 3) no snitching. This includes, but is not limited to, threats to contact > a subscriber's employer. We cannot control the off-list behavior of list members. Maybe the ground rules should be here: if a list member snitches on you or otherwise harrasses you based on what you do on the list, then you have the right to discuss this on the list. Then Jerry asked whether digest mode would be possible on the Utah server. My answer here: of course. In principle one of the benefits of having our own server is that we can customize our mailing lists to our needs. In practice the Utah server will depend on it that we find volunteers who do some work maintaining these lists. I am presently taking a crash course to be a unix systems administrator and am willing to spend a lot of time in the next few months to get things rolling, but I have to rely on it that, after the Utah server is running successfully, other similarly installed servers will be established elsewhere. I need this because I will not be the one-man unpaid internet service provider for these lists on an indefinite basis, and a network of such servers is, in my view, an infrastructure which the Left needs. Hans.
