I agree with Paul's differentiation between labor value and exchange value
but would like to add that "necessary social labor" and "exchange value"
are not clearly in line and mondetary price is notat all a good indicator.
A car that is produced with x amount of labor can sell for 
one price one day, another price at the end of the sales season as it 
becomes less attractive and, 50 years later when it becomes a 
collectors item, for an entirely different sum.  the labor value does
not change but the monetary price certainly does.
