Admittedly, my reference to Mr. Elster as a "scoundral" is merely a 
(feeble?) attempt at sarcasim.  In fact, I have the highest regard 
for his work - although as an intellectual who reflects more the 
French, W. European brand (style) of thinking I do find his ideas more 
difficult to retain.

Anyway, the issue has now become a nonissue.

P.S. as for my referring to Elster as a "schmuch," - again, attribute 
to sacracasm.  Anyway, lighten-up, there are worst things then 
being called a schmuck!
