Before responding too cynically to Derrida's appeal for a "return" to
a "certain spirit of Marxism," you might read the interview with him
and his short speech at Althusser's funeral.  Both are available in
English in The Althusserian Legacy, ed. Kaplan and Sprinker (Verso,
1993).
