Subject: Conference on Transnationals, London

        SOCIETY, TRANSNATIONALS AND THE ENVIRONMENT

A Conference at the Friends Meeting House, Euston Road, London NW1
         Saturday 25th March 1995 10am to 4pm

Sponsors:
The Ecumenical Committee for Corporate Responsbility (ECCR)
The Green Socialist Network
The Global Commons Institute
The Forum for Marxism, Science and Philosophy.

"There is growing concern with regard to the ecological
damage that is being inflicted on the environment. We believe
that industry bears a large measure of responsibility and
should be persuaded to develop alternative methods to eliminate
the damage for which it is responsible.

The above organisations are convening a Conference in order to
discuss the importance of Pension Funds and Trade Union
Representation as an avenue to make a serious contribution to
tackle this problem.

Our aim is to exchange ideas and experiences and to identify
problems. Participants will make up their own minds about what
they can or wish to do.

We are inviting your organisation to send observers or other members.
In order to cover costs we need to ask for a fee of 5 pounds per head.
