Not what I meant, Louis. I'm sure I agree with you about the connection of
all those things with imperialism. However, by decadence I meant to point
to the idea that the existence of imperialism shows that capitalism will
fall soon, to be replaced by socialism. I've always thought myself that
imperialism was an excellent way for First World countries to let off the
steam of their internal class struggle in the Third World. Rahul Mahajan
